A Guy With A Guitar
This highly complex, yet gentle and sweet, entrepreneur has several ingredients that give him a unique flair that he uses to deliver massive impact. Matt was once the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist for the eponymous Matt Mead Band. A project that his wife Jessica encouraged him to start and orchestrated by his side for nearly a decade while working together in their early companies.
He was on the road more days than not but enjoyed the freedom he had doing it. After 8 years of touring the country, they decided to start a family. 2 years later after leaving behind a successful music career, Matt set aside his passion for entertaining and focused on his passion for business.
A Second Chance On The Brink Of Losing Everything
After acquiring controlling interest in a digital media sales organization, Matt rolled out his programs with roaring success in the automotive, real estate and medical verticals. Then, without warning, he had the rug pulled out from under him. Reaching an ethical impasse with his minority business partners, Matt & Jessica found themselves on the losing end of a bitter battle for control. In the end, they had to divest their interest in the Inc 500 listed company Matt had helped develop and grow with his proprietary tools and methodologies. This left him with nothing but and office full of employees, bills and debt from their joint venture. He retained his data company, but he lost nearly everything he had spent years developing. But in the face of adversity, he came out stronger.
For 6 months, he put his nose to the grindstone and developed a much better set of tools and databases, which became the basis of his 2016 re-launch of one of his current company’s, EpekData. With almost no advertising, his 3-year-old company has received over a $90 million valuation, and it’s poised to continue growing just by word of mouth. He counts almost every major auto brand including Audi, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, Chevrolet, Ford, Kia, Hyundai and many other among the loyal dealership clients that have worked with EpekData and its Channel Partners. In addition, the EpekData products are available in many other verticals and industries where they have served companies such as; Re/Max, and iHeart Radio among others.
Matt believes in creating a better version of himself every day. He is a solution-driven, global citizen who actively welcomes challenge as part of his journey to significance.
From Spicy Carnitas To Entrepreneurial Success.
In 2000, Matt and Jessica founded MediaHouse, a digital marketing and graphic design firm focused on serving musicians – a space they knew well. This company was the foundation of their current successful full-service agency, BrandLync, which they retain 100% ownership in today.
In 2005, after years of building companies in the publishing and print media industry, Matt and Jessica opened Mateo’s Mexican Delivery Restaurant with the goal of becoming the nation’s first Mexican food delivery chain. They began by delivering premium fresh-mex right to the doors of their community. Bringing to bare the years of lessons learned from their first companies, Matt implemented a proprietary software solution designed to be as efficient as possible, in order to reduce waste and keep food costs low while speeding up the order process and delivery process. This also allowed everyone from order takers to kitchen staff to management to be on the same page about inventory, wait times, and service experience. This was his first foray into data and software entrepreneurship, and it became wildly successful, spawning several corporate locations and franchise system development and approval on a national level. Matt & Jessica sold the company’s assets in 2010 and fully entered the world of Data Integrity Management and Digital Media Marketing.
Over the course of 21 years, Matt and Jessica built, bought, and sold over 2 dozen small- to medium-sized companies in multiple verticals, while maintaining and building foundational marketing strategies in their media company, which powered the growth of all new projects.

After seeing the prolonged success of his businesses and the direction that technology and data were headed, Matt exits the restaurant industry to fully focus on Digital Integrity Management and Digital Media Marketing

Co-Founds EPEKData with wife Jessica and creates the software that makes the company immediately successful. Today, it is valued at over $90 million in the private equity marketplace.
2019
Becomes the Co-Founder of Mead Holdings Group, and Grayson Pierce Capital. Matt and Jessica have more than 50 companies in their eco-system.
